Three bedrooms and two bathrooms available

This hosted home is in a secluded setting and the guest area is completely private.The main (first) floor has a multi-purpose room with a full sized bed, 6 tr-ifold flip mattresses, and a full bath. Additionally, the first floor has a cozy living room with a wood stove, cut wood, dining table with 6 chairs and a bench, a small TV, several cushy chairs, and a full-sized sofa that may be used for sleeping in a pinch. Between the multi-purpose room and living room, there is a kitchenette equipped with a two burner hot plate, a small oven, microwave, sink, refrigerator, cupboards for groceries, a stocked coffee/tea cabinet, electric kettle, Keurig, cookware, silverware, dishes, paper towels, napkins, and stuff for baking. If needed: 2nd floor has double bed, & 3rd floor has queen bed and bathroom. The old part of the house was built in 1750. Of the three rooms in the lowest, ground floor guest level, two are old, while the multi-purpose room and full bath are more modern. Kids are very welcome, but please know this is an older home with winding stairs. The wooden floors do creak, and some rooms have small cracks in the floor where you can see into the room below. The house has its own fresh water well which is tested regularly for potability. The guest area has its own entrances and exits, and the stone porch may be used by guests, along with the large Weber gas grill.

The house is a quarter mile down a stone drive from the road and sits on three and a half acres.  Across the street is Bryn Coed Natural Lands Trust that has many miles of beautiful, well-marked hiking trails.The home is also very close to French Creek State Park, the French Creek trail, Valley Forge National Park, Marsh Creek State Park. Longwood Gardens, French Creek State Park, the Schuylkill River Trail, and Hopewell Village National Park. Lancaster County, Philadelphia, and Chanticleer Gardens, are within an hour's drive from the home.
