Larry and Anita, born and raised in Iowa, were high school sweethearts. They married in 1964 and have two daughters, Angela (born in 1968) and April (born in 1970,) and one grandchild, Kimberli (born in 1993). Though they were in church all their lives they never heard a salvation message which they remember, until adulthood. They were saved in 1970.

Larry worked for Delta Air Lines when they married and left after 11 years so they could become houseparents at a children’s home in the Atlanta area. Some years later Larry became principal of a small Christian school in the Atlanta area. After a time God placed him back in market place ministry with Waffle House restaurants. Being evangelists they loved this contact with the lost and had a wonderful time ministering there. For 25 years while their children were growing up, and after, they have loved having lost, addicted, hurting people living with them. In 2000 God again called Larry out of market place ministry and they have been joyfully serving with ServantCARE since that time. In 2003, God said to turn the guest room into a prophet chamber and they now use their home to minister grace and restoration for those in ministry who are weary, broken, bitter, or disillusioned with life or ministry.

Larry and Anita are very involved in the ministry of strategic prayer, equipping the saints for the work of ministry, and in Native American bridge building through love and have brought those loves to the ministry of ServantCARE. Larry has been an elder at Northside Community Church since it’s beginning in 1996.
